Can any one tell me how to get the damaged speedo needle off the shaft on my 40 speedo-I have a Standard piece that I bought to fit the 40 dash I am fitting in my A Tudor. I haven't pulled it to bits yet but a quick look didn,t reveal how the needle comes off., I have a hunch it may be pressed on as I didn't notice any form of grubscrew. Also-are they available new as I haven,t found them listed in any of the early ford catalogs I have from suppliers. Hope some one can help.
It pulls straight off, but be really careful, they are really fragile. I use the speedo backplate itself to pull the needle off.
