Hot Rods 40 Ford pickup

I need to see a picture of the front fender brace installed. I’ve scratched my head and stared at it long enough.

The yoke? It's probably the same as passenger cars, and there is a spring between the yoke and the front crossmember. Then the ends bolt into the inner fender panels in the holes provided. And they always crack the inner fender panels.

 

This is what mine looks like, car / pickup same. Webbing pad under mount, spring below, castle nut and cotter key to set tension.

 

Well there you go, I had the spring in the wrong spot. Marty, how come your yoke has a droopy crossbar? All the ones I have are straight.

 

Same as car--use em on all builds -never an issue--cut out the cross brace for 327

 

Jeff, Maybe I better fix that, it may need to come out for balancer clearance, as Olscrounger posted !

 

How is that pickup project going? Here is how I mounted my front sheet metal. You can shim it for alignment.
