   I've seen this done ('40 dlx sheet metal on a truck cab) Two major problems. Truck fenders are different where they meet the cowl and the truck cab belt line extends onto the truck hood. When you put a car hood on what do you do about the belt line? Would take a lot of work to pull it off.
