Here's the story. My buddy's at our local Sat. night cruise. Guy in a new Camaro is parked near and is looking at my bud's 40 Ford hot rod truck(blk primer chopped top flames). Guy says his neighbor has a 40 Ford coupe that he's owned for 50 yrs. He says this guy wants to sell it cause he's getting to old to work on it and wife wants to park her car in the garage. He give my bud a contact number. A few days later he calls and looks at the car. He can't believe how solid the car is. It's got a 59 A-B flattie in it and its not froze up. He makes a deal ( just over 6 g's). Here's some pics. Here's some of the goodies that were in the trunk. He also got 2 more front fenders 1 rear fender 2 doors a hood and deck lid all as rust free as the body. another 40 rear end and 2 trannies
We're going to see if the motor will run and go from there. Plans for right now is to get it street worthy. He has another 40 coupe thats been streets rodded for years. Most likely the new one will get hot rod primer.
Not sure yet he just got it home yesterday. We need to flush the gas tank. It seems like its free when we turn the fan by hand
Great score. Nice to see a post from Irwin, Pa........one of the places I used to live. I can't remember ever seeing that one though and I knew of most of the cars around that area at that time period. Don
