Projects 40 chevy business coupe project

Getting started in a 40 sedan and have the same inner rocker/floor problem you had. Question, where did you get your c-channel floor pan bracing?

 

I bent my own on my 41, however, I was directed to this website for channels by BIGCHUCK on here. H's doing a 40-41 coupe.

Hi. I used a local metal work co. to bend these c channels. It was not big prob. wish you
the strength and durability of the work carried out.

Hello. Did you end up using the stock trunk floor? If not did you save it/still have it?

I love what you've done with the 40 chevy. I have a 41 and hope to make it as nice as yours someday. Can you tell me how much you chopped it (assuming its chopped)? What's it got for an engine? How did you drop the front and rear? Did you have to notch the rear? Such a nice car!

Like the chop technique...you would be dangerous with an English wheel........great build...

Man, glad I found this old thread! I saw the chop video on YouTube a long time ago. You nailed the proportions!
I'm building a 40 coupe and I want to chop it eventually and put a Packard grill. I hope it comes out as nice as your car...
