    True, that.
Harold Olsen's similarly equipped Buick (NON-four door) also looked good, but with Corvette teeth.

I agree completely! I think what does it for me is that the builder kept the '53 Chevy parking lights. Looks very old school.

There's a four door 51 Merc for sale in Alabama I believe. If anyone is interested I can find the link. It would be a great project. I'm half tempted but I have enough on my plate as it is...

My Nomad four door (plus a tailgate) several mild mods, all of them can be seen in this view.
People often try to tell me it cant be a Nomad because it has 4 doors, only true for 55-57's

[IMG] I like it. Nice grille.
It would be great to see one of these hard-topped, complete with the HT's lower windshield.
(Shouldn't be too hard, with the right parts car.)

  11. My 4 door had all the Handel's off since the mid 50's
when I went to Miami FL. in the 50'S I had to put
the Front Handels on to get Plates was the Law!
and I never took them off.

  12. Nice topic - I have a question - too old to remember for sure but wasn't the Merc in American Graffiti a '51 4 door custom??? I remember it was chopped pretty heavy - guess I could find the movie & watch it it, right? :D Anyone have pics? thanks!!

have thought of several ways to try this, so far it seems like its a not quite look due to the rear window angles. have also considered a shorted version as a 2 door hard top.
for now it will be as is

Here's my '51 Packard. Just got it running last weekend and hopefully can find the time to do some customing.

60 Cad everyday driver, lots of room for custom toy box between my two kids' car seats in the back. Soon to receive rehabbed dual quads.

All of the cars in this thread are awesome, they all have serious soul. We all love our cars. Mordoors rock on!

  28. adfvw.png i just picked up this quad cab, can't decide what route to go with it. i've got the majority of the parts to convert to two doors. but that will be a little ways in the future.
