Technical 4-53 gmc Y block blower project

    No problem - not sure when I will work out what the boost is as this is a long term project and I just tinker with it when the mood takes me. Eventually the pickup will be a driver (not built for show or racing). The blower is really just for looks and hopefully a very modest go faster. I picked up the blower really cheap, the manifold was $100, snout was another $100 and my buddy did all the machining for way less that he should have - read cost of the materials and donuts :)

    My displacement is 260 cubic inches - 30th overbore, merc 4" crank with an isky 400J grind on the cam. So a mild engine with a little rump in the cam.

  3. B4373036-C66B-45F1-ADFB-3DF870BC8B56.jpeg Most gm blowers have “pressed” on rotors to their shafts. If you plan on spinning faster than designed,make sure the rotors are PINNED to the shaft.

    Hi Michael

    The blowers in this post are GM 4-53. I only used part of the snout (front drive) from the eaton
