  4. There has been about a friggin' billion discussions about this same shit.....there has also been about a billion suicide front ends in about every manifestation that could ever be thought of.......it ain't never been about old iron properly done- failing.....If one of them front ends comes apart it's cause it wasn't done in a manner that was remotely sound from a common sense perspective. Like every other part of this game, the attempts , the discoveries, the failures.....all part of the fabric that makes the whole deal what it is........so beat er' ta death....again......and again. Springs and shocks that work right are your friends. Location points properly installed are your friends ......It don't matter where you hang that axle.

Is it coincidental that at the same time this thread is up, there is a separate thread with a guy looking for forged spring perches because the perch he bought from So Cal broke. Good thing it was a standard spring over axle arrangement with the perch mounted vertical.

I will have cross steering with a Vega box instead of side steering with a franklin box like Larry’s

I will be using original 32 ford perches with the shock ball removed and tapered leafs with a reverse eye main (to be installed on final assembly). I also ended up pitching the front rails 4”, plus Vega cross steering and pan-hard bar.

65standard.....it appears you have a good supply of resources available for your builds! The work on your frame looks great.
