Customs 3spd overdrive question

i think i seen a thread on here where someone put a floor shift on a 3spd overdrive trans. was wondering if it was a aftermarket shifter i could buy or did he make it. dont know how you would get by the solonoid on the trans but im sure i read about it here any info or any body do this? thanks

 

There was a after market kit back in the day- but there's been some guys that have done it in recent years. It's not easy but the shifting rods have to be bent to clear the solenoid. What kind of car are we doing it to?

There's a long post over on the ford barn on a 55. Page 8 has some pictures at the bottom, and an explaination of what he did. He's also got a couple shifters that might work for sale. Maybe not exactly what you need, but a start.
