Looking at the poor quality photos of the 429 I purchased , as I said knowing my luck, it would appear to be a front pan!!!!
What is reqd to change to rear pan? any help would be most appreciated.

  2. You need a pick up tube, screen and pan.
Being in you location, you could fabricate that.
Most 472-500s are front sump. I used a 425 pan and tube. Most of those are mid sump. I have seen a big block Chevy pan grafted on the caddy pan.
It could be possible to graft a rear sump pick up tube/screen and pan to your existing set up.

There is a 67 Eldo pan and pickup currently on Ebay , currently asking $375 for both. Pan looks a bit knocked around, could be panel beaten. When you are an office worker, might be the best option!!!
