39 Flathead cam marked 5-t

    New to flatheads, when installing a spacer to instal later model dizzy noticed A and 5-t on the cam. Does this tell me anything about the cam? Thanks

    stock cam, I just pulled two 39-41 motors downm both had 5T on them. I dont know what it refers to, but they all have it.
     
  4. I dont know the specs on the 5T, but I remember that was the cam to have back in the old stock-car days. I had several guys looking for them when I was selling stuff back in the 60s. (stock-cars were mainly flattie powered into the late 60s here in New Zealand)

    5t was a popular stock cam for the hi-po cam guys go regrind. The regrinds will usually have a stamp on them like a part #...
