Projects 37 truck first drive today

I purchased this truck about a year ago as a non running project and today it went for its first drive in who knows how long. Had the usuall stuff done to get it running, rebuilt carb, fuel pump, brakes, cleaned the gas tank and some new wiring. Went about 25 miles, wonder how long it's been since it was driven that far. Sure wish these old cars and trucks could talk, bet they would have some great stories.

not that MY approval , or that i'm somebody special (i'm not)... But ---- I like it.

 

Really nice looking truck. It makes me smile to know you got her running & back in the road. Great save to share with future generations. Awesome job.

Way cool, how could you pass on this . The first fire up brings the usual dance around the old girl checking. Then as the road disaperars behind you calm follows and yeah we are on the road for real.

It's amazing that you got something that old to run. I wonder if the guy who first bought it had any idea it might still start 80 years later.

Congrats, That,s a great old pickup. I like it the way it is, as it does{ tell a story }of being a hard working little pickup its whole life. I would love grinding the gears and driving it. Like HRP said, I'm glad they don't talk too. I'd have to shot my coupe. lol
