1937 Ford Slantback Tudor Project for Sale

This is a DIY Ford hot rod – comes in pieces you assemble yourself like an Ikea purchase. Virtually all of the parts are here – a new rolling chassis, engine, transmission, rear end, suspension, brakes, cooling system, fuel system, and exhaust system. Original steel Ford body and fenders, new firewall, floor & trunk pans, roll pan and lower door skins. Original dashboard with gauges, window glass, new Bob Drake running boards and trim.

    Here are the specifics:

ENGINE: New Ford Boss 302 crate engine with Ford fuel injection, polished Billet Specialties serpentine belt pulley system with alternator and air conditioning compressor, Ford air cleaner and oil breather, Ford Racing finned valve covers, polished air gap intake manifold

TRANSMISSION: Rebuilt Ford AOD automatic overdrive transmission with transmission cooler

EXHAUST: Sanderson ceramic coated block hugger headers, Magnaflow 2-1/2” dual exhaust pipe kit, Flowmaster Series 50 street mufflers

CHASSIS: New TCI Ford frame with independent front suspension with rack & pinion steering, chrome and polished aluminum A Arms, coilover shocks, 4 wheel Wilwood disk brakes, Stainless steel fuel lines 3/8” supply 5/16” return, new brake master cylinder and brake lines installed. new aluminum driveshaft and emergency brake assembly. “Roller” Mustang rims & tires.

REAR END: New Currie 9” Ford with 3.50:1 gears, slotted disk brakes, polished 4 link rear suspension with coilovers, rear anti-sway bar

COOLING: New Griffin high efficiency aluminum radiator

FUEL SYSTEM: New Rock Valley 20 gallon fuel tank with TPI fuel pump, Comp fuel filter, EFI regulator, fuel pressure gauge, Anchor Tite dipsticks for engine and AOD transmission

TRIM: Original trim for headlights, sides and window frames. Original grille. New door handles, window cranks, taillights,

BODY: Complete Ford steel body with fenders, inner fender panels, new Drake running boards with rubber and trim, new steel firewall, new floor and trunk pans, roll pan, tool box, and left and right lower door panels. Minimal dent and rust repair required. Clear title.

INTERIOR: Heated 8 way electric leather bucket seats from Lexus SC430, original interior window trim, dashboard with gauges

So, the work that remains to put this 1937 Ford back out on the road is mostly labor. The body needs to be prepped and painted, the interior needs to be finished, glass and rubber installed, air conditioning, if desired, any optional accessories, tires and rims, wiring harness, and battery and ignition system. The original grille needs to be repaired or replaced.

The total cost invested in the project so far is in excess of $32,000 for the donor car, engine, transmission, chassis, running gear, and other listed components. This is a huge head start on building a street rod at the attractive price of $22,500.
