Is the mount supposed to sit a little off the frame rail? Speedway said i use the top existing holes. Just want to make sure. Thanks, scott
Well then you're good! If you're in the fabrication stage you have the luxury of leaving it loose til you get everything hung on the car and your column in, body on, headers, etc. Then you can move it forward or back and tilt it exactly where needed.
I hear ya. Taking your time in this stage makes for a nice, tight driving little car that runs like clockwork. When setting up steering box, get your motor in, headers on, etc.. before you weld it in or do any permanent stuff. All these companies say stuff fits but they don't take some of the custom touches you might be doing to your car into account. A big thing is to make sure the pitman can articulate all the way and that the tie rod clears the oil pan.
what they said--looks right but get engine in with exhaust manifolds or headers on then make adjustments as necessary--have had to move some back 3/4 "
