I have been asked about my truck several times but was not sure if I ever posted any build info on it here. This is some information I had posted on one of our local sites. My 37 Kingcab project started in a friends garage back in 1992 and has seen many changes over the years. Like most of my projects I try to do drawings, cut and pasting pictures or make them first out of Diecast models. I am proud to say that no trucks were sacrificed in the building of my truck. The rear section is about 16" off a set of extra truck doors I had. A set of S-10 jumps seats are in the back. They work well except when you add the grandsons car seats, it gets a little crowded. The box sides were bent up by an old local sheet metal shop, Running boards were also fabricated. The rear roll pan was narrowed from a newer S-10. The suicide door hinges are from a modified jig I originally made for my Chopped sedan door hinges. The chassis is a 118"wb from an S-10. Some modification was made in the front to accommidate the narrow 37 cab. I also cut the front frame horns to fit my fenders. The truck is a great road vehicle and has been to several Detroit Woodward Cruises. It currently runs a 383 stroker engine and turbo 350 tranny.
