Those who have a Heidt's-type Mustang II setup in 37-40 Ford, did you use stock spindles or 2" drop? And how high is resulting wheel opening above the tire? (or ground) Thanks. Pictures of the stance would be greatly appreciated.

I'm set to order an assembly, and I'd rather receive what I'll use, than have to exchange through trial-and-error. Thanks again.

  2. That is the exact set up I installed on my '40 p/u (see avatar-more pics in my alblums), with the 2" drop spindles.
From the garage floor to the center bottom lip of the fender is 23 1/8", which I believe has settled about 1/4" or so, since I installed it over a year ago.

40FORDPU, what a well done truck!

This was better help than I could have wished for. Thank you. The 42 build pictures are priceless. In my opinion, you filled the wheel openings perfectly - width-wise also.

    I appreciate your response.

    Stock spindles, no drop.
