Hey Guys, I have a 1957 Mercury Turnpike Cruiser 368 (Lincoln Motor ). Using the 368 stock auto bell, and redrilling a 1968 and later FMX, My question is concerning the flywheel and starter. Can I use a early FE starter and Flywheel?
Is there a difference in the 1957 Mercury 368 starter and a early FE starter?

I know that I will have to mod the FE flexplate some, I am trying to go to later model Converter and flexplate.
If I have to bush for the converter pilot, thats ok and doable, I am a machinist of 29 yrs and have a lathe. My main concern is the starter and ring gear :confused::confused:
I love this site, The information on here is priceless, and Thanks in advance for any replys
Come on Cornernfool,Homespun,Tom,Unclescooby and some of you other Lincoln Y guys

There is a Lincoln Y block friends group here you might look into for this and most other information you might need.
