Well, I'm just about done. One small job left to do (might tackle it tonight even) and that's it - everything else will be optional. Been thrashing like mad for the last several weeks trying to get my truck ready to ship to the UK with me when I return next month.

    Here it is...

Need one 16" trim ring (ribbed for your pleasure!) for my spare if anyone has an extra...

Yep - pretty much done today. One small job left - should take an hour or two tomorrow at most. Now just have to figure out what the USAF is going to let me do with my move to decide when/where to ship from...

I love that chromed '36 grill/shell! Ya don't see may '36 Ford pickups that have that. If I'm not mistaken, a chromed grill was an original factory option, however.

I think I measured it when I got it & it was a '36...but wouldn't swear to that...I can't remember what I had for breakfast!

What do you need T4 wise? I think I have a T4 still...it's buried in the shed, but I know where it should be! ;) :D

Great truck. I had a '35 back in the '80's...I miss it. Good luck with your build.

Well, drove it to work today - about 20 miles or so one way. Lifters are noisy, so I'll check those later. Otherwise, ran like a top. When I first cranked it up this morning, it seemed like it had a tiny miss. When I got to the bottom of the mountain to pull out onto Rt66, it seemed down on power. I was going about 1/2 mile to the gas station to top it up and remembered I'd pulled two plug wires the night before for clearance to get to something else - checked at the gas station & I'd forgotten to put them back on! With them on, pulled strong.

Changed the oil at the base hobby shop, greased all the zerks (again) since I had it on a lift, and had fun with it.

For most of the driving, it never ran hotter than 150* or so. Making the 2000' climb from town up to my place in the afternoon warmth (not quite heat), it showed just shy of 190* when I opened the hood once home (stock gauge in the dash doesn't appear to be working at all - got a direct-reading temp gauge on one of the heads).

Very happy with it so far. Get that valvetrain quieted down and it'll be nice!
