  1. I have a chance at a complete 36 front axel.Ialready have 46-48 front hubs drums shoes and bearings. Will the 36 spindles mate up to my hubs and can I use this on my model A frame?Help appreaciated, thanx, Webb.I'll be running a 51 merc flathead.

  2. You will need to change the PCD on the spindles to match the later backing plates or vice versa.

Yes. But later, roundback spindles would work better.

  4. MY first, what is PCD?

  5. Pitch Circle Diameter.
The 36 spindles have the holes on a smaller diameter circle than the later brakes. Search the tech posts, there have been a few on adapting late brakes to early spindles. Or more specifically search for NeilCA's 32 RPU build thread.

  6. Thanx Fly,that info and tech gained me a little more knowledge.
