    Hello-
I have a stock 36' 5w with nice gum dipped 6.0-16 tires on it. However, I would like to drop it a bit for a nicer stance. It appears most axles are a 4" drop which I think is a bit heavy for these wheels/tires. Has anybody played with this similar configuration? Any suggestions on how far i can go without major clearance issues? thx

  2. A 4" axle won't drop it 4". More like 2"

Maybe just reverse the "eyes" on the spring.

  4. Use. It's a 4" drop axle. It won't lower it 4"
Try the drop axle first for about 2" then if you need more. ...a reverse eye spring will get you another 1"

Thanks a lot for the info. guys

  6. Get the original axle dropped to whatever height you wish, cheaper than a new one, real Ford steel and a hell of a lot cooler than aftermarket shit!

When we drop a 36 axle, it will narrow each side about 1 inch, this will give the needed fender clearance...Aftermarket 4 inch dropped axle is about a 2 inch drop over a stock 36 axle....
