Im thinking of buying a 36 chevy coupe from a neighbor for 1200 bucks. The car is complete but not assembled. He says all it needs is a left front fender....My question is with the wood in the car can you put any horsepower in this car?? and does anyone have any pics of one of these?? and do you think 1200 is worth it? ANd he does have all brand new wood for the doors.....thanks guys..

well actually your best bet is to replace the wood with square steel tubing, it will last forever and not rot like wood.
here are some pictures that of the pillars that my dad is working on for his 36 chevy truck (only the pillars are wood in this year of truck)

Those pilars don't look that tough to make and look good. What is that about inch, inch and half square tube?
