Customs 352 Ford questions

    according to your blocks casting numbers the engine is a 1972 truck engine.
    D=70s 2=72 TE=truck engine. This info suggests that it is a 360 or 390 . I would bet on it being a 360 as they were the more common of the 2 in trucks . this has been my experience anyway. Measuring the stroke will tell for sure .

    On a side note I do not recall a 352 being available after 1970 and the 360 was only available in trucks .

    Also if I were you i would replace that cast iron intake with an aluminium one before i did anything else .That will shave 75 lbs or so and give you a good hp bump

    You guys are great. Lots of great info. Thank you guys. Aluminum intake seems to be the first thing to do to even fire the motor. I have a 4 bbl carb, so all I gotta do is get an intake.

    The last 352 in cars 1966 -1967 in trucks To just have one block Ford went to 360 in 1968 trucks. When looking for a aluminum intake stay away from the Edlebrock SP2P even if it is cheap.
