Iam building a 1990 351 Windsor for my 39 pickup and want to know where everybody gets their stainless bolts at? Thanks

  2. The Ace Hardware near me has one of the best selections of in stock stainless nuts, bolts, and washers I've ever seen. I have a 351 decked out in lots of stainless.

I checked online for your location and saw that there are 3 Ace Hardware stores in and around Oklahoma City. Check 'em out. Hopefully, they're as well stocked as my local store. :)

I use 12 point stainless on my SBFs,all come from ARP as some hardware store stainless is very poor grade stainless and all I've ever seen is 6 point heads!! ROY.

ARP has some NICE header bolts that have a 5/16 12 pnt head on them instead of the normal 7/16 head. Makes getting a wrench on them easy cheesy!

Talking head bolts? Under the valve cover, not torque to yield. Reuse them, or go down to local yard and pull them out. Summitracing has sets starting at 42 bucks. Hope this helps.

If you are looking for cosmetic stainless - McMaster-Carr.

If you are looking for structural - ARP.
