Picked this up out of Iowa. 18 hour trip each way. Got it back home to south Texas. 35 ford coupe with 36 front clip. Blasted the frame and installing mustang II. Waiting on the body from the blaster. to get started. Gonna bust ass on it this winter to have it at the Lone Star Roundup.

Nice car but it sounds like your building a new-age street rod?

Best of luck and congrads on the car.

  6. Nice start there I think the 36 front end is better looking then 35.

Read up on the HAMB about your MUST II lower arms. You need additional bracing so the bushings are not in single shear.

I can see where the original MII could be a problem with the single lower control arm but the new kits have better lower control arms. Does that solve the sheer problem? Or is there more to it? Never heard about it before.

What MII kit did you go with? Getting ready to buy one for my 36 Chevy but I do not need the cross member.

So does the a/c make it a new age street rod? cause the rest sounds just like a bunch of builds I have read about here?

    small block ford right????

I have the 354 hemi, 239 flathead, 322 nailhead and 270 hemi in cars. It aint like i aint done this before. Just cause its small block, i guess 265, 283 even Ford small block dont count. Critics in every bunch. Got to take, if i post it, i guess

Looking forward to seeing some progress shots, great looking car.

  16. Actually if I really had a problem with it it wouldn't be your engine choice at all. You should already know that. The only problem I would have is the pinto suspension.

I don't have to drive it and I doubt we will ever park close to each other but even if we did I wouldn't be offended by it.

Build the way you see fit and let the chips fall where they may. That's what I do.

??x2 on the mustang 2. guess it's because of the bags. I've done the swap and with bias ply rubber and the infinite height possibilities from airbags the ride sucked balls anyway.nice car, Im building a 36 too, it is yours, build what you love even if you love street rods.
