I want to run '35 Ford wire wheels on '48 Ford front hub/drum assembly. It looks like the balance weights for the hub/drum assembly need to be relocated further out on the drum for the wheel to fit flush on the hub. I would like to hear from people who have actually done this as to what procedure was used to reattach the weights to the drum. Also, do the wire wheel support rings need to be used in this application?
