35 Ford coupe survivor!

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Ratmotor, Jan 13, 2008.

  1. I have been nagging my buddy for years to put this car back together! He built the car when he was in his teens which was long ago I might add. 1935 Ford coupe with 364 Buick nailhead! He says it has a Ford transmission in it.Last on the road in 1962 and been in storage since then. I have coaxed and prodded but all to no avail....he won,t even sell it to me!Maybe some day......

    Oh come on! Get creative!
Blackmail? Theft? A konk on the head? Shame?
    SOMETHING has to work.
At least get him on here. We might either get him to fix it or sell it to you

Very kool...Only if we could all find them like that...
You need to keep taking beer over when you talk to him...The key is to take a nap before you do it and keep feeding them to him :)

Did anyone else ever notice how many 35-40 Fords had owners who modified the damn firewall/cowl to mount the battery? I HATE that! Don't know why people insisted on doing that.

    Sorry, rant over...

That car has some great potential!

Talk him into robbing a bank to get the money to fix it. Then, after he gets tossed in jail. Fix it up for when he gets out.:D

On the flip side, if he hadn't stored it for 46 years it probably would have been "updated" with some billet wheels and a 350 by now. Chances are greater now that it will return to the road more or less like it was when it left.

    Cool car.
