I built this a few years ago.
Drove it for a couple of seasons and sold it to build my F1.
Miss it.

 

Bump this thread! I'm bringing home a 36 tomorrow and am looking for some inspiration. Thanks in advance guys!

 

This is another old truck from way back. Metallic brown fenders with beige body and other panels. I've no idea where it is now however the builder / owner always loved blown SBCs in his cars, a tradition that continues until today.

 

This one was built locally between 1962 and 1968. I struck a deal on her about 20 years ago. Had a stuck ‘63 327/300 with a cast iron p-glide an ‘57 rear. I’ve dropped in a’67 327/350 horse , but other projects have kept me from getting her back on the road. The swoopy body lines on these have always caught my eye. Not as nice as a bunch of them on this thread, but a neat ol truck. :

Just a couple 97's and Fenton headers on mine, otherwise pretty stock.

 

Glad all my babbling helped someone. AC is a requirement around here.

 

‘35, Work in progress. 327 small journal, Chassis Engineering dropped axle, 9” semi elliptic rear suspension. All steel.

 

Those fenders look pretty good. They have all torn and been welded with coat hangers, where yours are repaired. The farm trucks have the rear sections mangled usually.

 

I didn't know about this thread until today when HAMTOWNAL mentioned it......

My '35 with a Nailhead........

The late Chet Chambers' '35....he did all the restoration work himself........

 

I almost put a Nailhead in my 36. I would love to see what it took to make it fit.

 

Front part that bolts to the running board on both was missing around 4" and had to be made. Couple cracks, but not too bad. Drove down to

Florida to buy them from Pennsylvania. Well worth the trip. Seller didn't want to ship.

 

Home-fabricated motor mounts and ST400 trans mounts to set them lower in the chassis, custom tube headers, Saginaw power steering box, a bit of the lower firewall reshaped. That's it.......not really too awful a job.

Woa, is that a 49/50 Merc front clip standing on end just behind that Very Nice truck? There must be a 3rd project on your build list.
