   If you aren't hell bent on removing the cover, you can remove the fuel pump first and peer/feel the timing set through the opening.

   Got it RUNNING! thanks everyone for your help. it ended up having the nylon gears that were all tore up and the timing chain jumped a lot. put a new one on and everythings great
