I was wondering how your car was coming along... Your body and mine look almost identical right now. Same color primer, same decklid..damn near twins.

Nothing new right now...The body is off for the last time to finish the chassis. Once the chassis is done, I'm back to blocksanding the body 50 or 100 more times, then shiny black.

Next update will be a finished painted, fully assembled rolling chassis...maybe March or so..

    See ya, -Abone.

  11. Awesome, I have following along since the beginning. Your kid will smile when you tell him you won't sell it and it will be his when he graduates from high school with a good gpa!. Come on dad. You can do it!

  12. How about an update on your coupe? I was thinking our two would be a good grudge match:D:D. Same quickie, similar cubes (is your's a 389 or 421?), both 2-4's....Is yours a stick?

Man, I got nuttin... I'm aaalllmost ready to paint the chassis. Then, final assembly of the rolling chassis, then block sand the body 100 times then shiny black.

Also, last week was "yearly maintenance week" for the Model A, so no work on the '34, But as soon as the chassis is shiny, I'll post an update.

Your car is killer, by the way. -Abone.

PS. As for lining 'em up..it should be a good race. This same basic combination went 12.10 @ 116 in my Model A. Should do a mid/high 11 with drag radials.

  14. I have a history of black, (32 pickup, 39 Deluxe, and 47 convert) and your 34 will be bitchen in black.
I was thinking black but have been considering a early 60's gold, with greek style black and white striping.

    Keep at it..

The more I look at that first picture, then the NOW picture.... The more I feel like a poser.

Hell, I have a hard time building something out of a "Whole Car".

This is magic in my book. Let me guess, you're gonna put a Pontiac in it...

All of you guy's cars look great. I know a deuce is supposed to be the holy grail, but for me a 34 would be the best. God I love those cars...

How could you go wrong with a body line like that?

Best to you guys in finishing them the way you want. They'll look great!
