SOLD AGAIN. Turns out it not sold after all! It's still available, still the same price, I'd still be interested in a station wagon (a usable, drivable one, not a project partial trade, so if you think it might be the car that'll fill a giant hole in your life, give me a call or message me here on the HAMB. Thanks. 34789946_10217187387619412_7001465453247725568_n.jpg 39388035_10217770754283214_4884915413843968_n.jpg 39594146_10217770754243213_3773364163808591872_n.jpg 40683724_10217895713367113_2900394116523229184_n.jpg After the demise of the '51 Pontiac, we'd like to replace it with something we can tow our '47, 25 foot Spartan trailer with. The roadster obviously isn't up to that, and while we have the Riviera in progress, it'd be nice to have something we can jump in and drive. So, the '34 might need to find a new home.

STRONG 283, PowerPack heads, Offy 360 intake with Edlebrock 500's. Supposedly has a 327/350 HP cam, nice lopey idle, straight pipes. Pulls hard, sounds wicked, nice combo with a 350 TH with a shift kit, '55 Chevy rear with (I guess) 3.55 gears. Original, old chrome grill shell, Rootlieb hood, unknown old 'glass body, originally built on the East Coast as the "Fly'n Flathead" with a blown flathead and purple paint, I got it out of Billy O's basement 3 years ago and built a car out of it, using parts he'd collected. American Stamping rails, homegrown center "X" member. Wilson Welding finned aluminum backing plates that match the Buick drums, Walker radiator, stops great, runs cool.

I have a set of Coker Classic 8.00x15's on '50 Chevy rims and caps, also have a set of radials on 15" Dayton rim laced knock off's (they look like Jag wheels) that go with it. Color is Mercedes black acrylic, original '34 seat with old brown vinyl, '61 T'bird column and wheel, '32 style dash with machine finished stainless insert with old SW gauges. Some work... Old chrome '34 top irons and nice wood bows, I never got around to making a top, but it'd be easy. If I don't sell this fall I'll get to it this winter.

The car isn't perfect but it has a nice "survivor" look that is what I was going for. The body is VERY heavy 'glass, and is ripple free, wears black well. Nice two color striping by "Mikey" from here in West Michigan. The trans has a small, irritating leak at the shifter shaft, and the rear end drips a bit of fluid from the pinion seal. I just check them both once in a while and put drip pan under it. The speedometer gear in the trans must have shelled it's teeth, it quit at 700 miles. I use a speedo app on my phone. I'd be uncomfortable driving it across the country, but I believe it's up to it, even if, at 65 years of age, I'm not. There's a detailed build thread here that I bored everyone to tears with while I was building it, so all it's faults are documented. I'm not a very good welder, but I'm a hella good grinder, nothing has broken or fallen off in probably 3,000 miles driving, so I guess it's OK.

I'd really like to trade the car for a late '40's GM Sedanette or convert with a modern drivetrain, or a full size GM wagon from the early to mid '50's that's ready to go. Something with decent paint, the dreaded LS/4L60 swap already done (I'll keep the hood closed and won't talk about it here, it's OK), something I can add a hitch and brake controller and go. An interior that 's not Mexican blankets would be nice that doesn't smell like mice too.

I'm not on the board every day, so call my cell if you're interested and want wind in your hair and bugs in your teeth. 269-548-7324

Huh, it's still for sale or a partial station wagon trade.
