Love that you guys have some shape in your fabricated rails. Instead of the severe steps and Z's. Not tough, just have to spend a little more time...

I'm liking the look of this. It might be cool to see a before and after with the 'screen fitted(stock versus modified).

Very nice work! Love the way the frame accepts the body and the windshield drop. Wish I had seen that earlier in my own build.\

is there a plate welded under the front crossmember? Or are those welded to the sides?

I assume your referring to the spring clamp. This is done like the SoCal and Pete & Jakes blind spring hangers. I use these when it's too close to the radiator to have the U bolts wrap around. On this truck we are keeping everything as low as possible and this saved me 5/8" and allowed me to use a crossmember that we fabbed in house to drop the truck an additional 1 1/8" over a stock Model "A" style that is so common. Like I said we are stealing every inch we can to get this thing eating weeds. I'm putting the front end together on Wednesday if the axle arrives and I'll post some more detailed pics. There is a boss cut into the crossmember underneath that accepts the spring plate and a couple of small details to register the spring but pretty simple all around and super strong. The tabs you see welded to the crossmember are fully welded after being V cut on the underside. When the spring plate goes on everything is locked together.

Looks great. I like where this is going. I think the stance is going to be bad ass.

Nice shot of the finished floor...

Koz insisted on the suicide doors even though I was totally against it!
He threatened to stop my build if he couldn't have his way!

I like to footwell in the floor. got idea to help maximize legroom in a tight space. too bad the x-mebmer is in the way in mine...

Is there no end to the ball busting! (Koz insisted on suicide doors) I hope you fall out on the Parkway. Actually, I wasn't even lukewarm on them but now that I've got them welded up and working they are pretty cool. The hardest part was flush fitting the doors as the '34's are overlays.

When the frame was built we pretty much planned everything on getting those footwells in. we are using an overhead pedal setup that will allow some decent leg room in an otherwise tight cab. The truck as it sets actually has an additional 2" over a stocker.

i hope you fall out on the parkway! wow, koz! glad to see progress and more pictures. really coming along nicely. floor looks good with the floor tunnels. anyone who doesn't know kess, he is a big guy and that extra leg room will make a huge difference in comfort for him. can't wait to see the finished truck.
