Now I know most of you will probably call me crazy ( wife already knows this) but I was wondering has anyone out there ever build a 34 ford (I want to use a fiberglass roadster body) on a 1932 ford chassis? I know the wheelbase is 2" longer on the 34' vrs the 32' but I think the 32 chassis is the prettiest chassis ford ever built and I want to make it a highboy. Besides that I already have a 32' chassis built and ready. I would appreciate any input on this build I would like to do. Thanks,Kyle
I bought a '32 chopped Tudor setting on a '33/34 chassis in SoCal in '69 for the body. I did a '32 tank behind a '34 roadster on a '34 modified frame a few years ago. And I've seen '33/34's on '32 frames. I'm all for the '32 rails and tank...have at it. It's been done before for all the right reasons in my humble opinion.
My 34 has a 32 frame under it. I´m just about to get it ready for paint, the seafoamgreen is photoshop...I really like how the rocker follows the curve of the 32 frame rail.
Kyle, The wheelbase on a 33-34 is 112" compared to 106" on a 32 . Not saying it cant be done, might be
I think the way shorter wheelbase will make it weird looking. Are you going to lengthen the wheelbase? Lots of cutting and reshaping on the floor, too.
