The frame on a '34 I just bought is nice but has an old style universal tubular transmission crossmember installed in it. The frame is boxed and I would like to put a stock style full X member back in the car. I remember seeing them being reproduced for use in a boxed frame but can't remember where I saw them. Does anyone know who makes or sells them ? Thank you.
Chassis Engineering (now Heidts) makes an x member similar to stock style. Don’t know of any direct replacement. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app

If you plan on using 39 or 40 clutch and brake petals, the chassis engineering’s X member is at wrong angle. You have to notch the X member to make them work. And you have to change angle of mount.
