You and Littleman need to drive to the HAMB Drags and line em up.

    Nice work, -Abone.

    Thanks Guys

Abone, I thinking more and more about a road trip when it's finished. The truck is set up to drive it's a pump gas motor and I'm running a 3.54 gear. I would love to do the HAMB drags next year. I can't speak for Littleman but I know he's running race gas and a pretty tall gear.

We only live about 30 minutes apart and there is a drag strip between us. So I image we will be lining em up.:)

  3. HA HA right on man ! I bet you're stoked, congrats on the fire up, sounds great.

I've been working on a finishing a bunch of little shit since I got it fired. Nothing that photographs well so I haven't posted anything. I did get all the finish welding done on the chassis behind the cab. The chute tether, fuel tank brackets, tabs for the trans cooler, and battery box where just tacked.

I also got my 3rd member and installed it.

Last night I picked this up.

Not real sure how I missed this thread before but its BadAss. One of my favorite builds I've seen. Hope to be able to see it in person some day!! That thing should fly! I love drag racing and this truck is killer. Awesome work on all the fabrication and quality! I want one! Keep up the great progress. I'm subscribed.

Well I've been making progress. I got the truck to move under its own power this weekend. I got a bunch of little stuff to do before the first drive but I'm getting closer.

My motor guy told me I needed to run collectors, so I got those and the baffles in. It seems like it actually does run better and will almost idle but we still haven't tuned it yet.

Of course when there's a bunch of people watching it has to stall.:)

Sorry about the video. My flip camera died so my buddy filmed it on his iPhone.

  12. I'm excited for you Mat! Congrats

    That's a very nice machine you've built.

Sounds nasty! Congrats on it all. Once you get that idle on mark, give it a stab in the butt for all of us. The big motors my brother n law's teams have had in their Pro door slamers all have a steady, cool, low rumble at idle despite making 1500+ hp. Gary

Thanks Bill, I would love to make the HAMB drags. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for next year.

Cool Kisam got her 3 window moving today too. I didn't see it I'll have to check it out.

    Me too!!!

My motor guy is on vacation this week hopefully when he gets back we'll get on the tune ASAP. Thanks again to everybody for the positive feedback.

This is looking really nice. If you had described it to me, then I would have said "not really my kind of thing", but seeing the pictures it all makes sense. Love the motor and the stance. It is just brutal.
Can't wait for the 1/4 mile video!

Thanks to everybody for the compliments. Little Terry, I totally understand were you're coming from. I know when it comes to be HAMB friendly I'm awfully close to the edge. In fact I'm surprised I don't get more shit for running one of those modern BBC's. :)
