Glad that you’re back at it. Always a must read post if it’s from you.

I love this picture! Reminds me of an old Dave Bell, Lance Sorchik and/or Jeff Norwell type drawing.

  5. I have started on the firewall structure. There will be a removable bulged panel behind the magneto.

  6. I have built some of the firewall and floor structure. (Pics to come). Still need to do body mounts etc. Now it is time for a lot of body repair that will be tedious and time consuming and not very exiting. I have started rocker installation and patch panel on the pass’ side. Also installing sedan inner fender panels (1” deeper).

You got the coolest garage. Not a FN 'mancave' an actual work-being-done GARAGE. With a turntable for audio. Friggin epic. Doggo digs it too, clearly. Not in a hurry to leave.

And yet all your stuff turns out epic!

I'm wondering what else is sitting and waiting it's turn?

  10. I'm sure you remember how many times i've asked you when you were going to finish this car! haha. I'm raising up the front of my Coupe, just so I can see out of it! So it will have a Fuel Coupe look pretty soon too....
Love your eye for detail. Hope you keep this one for a while....

Nothing like a Kiwi Kev build. I’ll be watching. Are those PSI batwings aluminum?

  18. I like that shot too, can't help but think of the 15 OZ coupe.:)

  19. I sadly seen the 15 oz coupe collecting dust in a stupid Bad Chad video about a Canadian guy's car collection that was selling several cars. I had no idea that's where the car was, I thought it was in California somewhere stored in a much better place.

  20. I saw that as well, they barely spent any time at all on the car, sad indeed.

  25. Kev, if you need a hood top, I may have what you need. I'll be at Lars in the swap meet. T 7-8-9.

  26. Thanks guys!
I made a little progress. Made a steering box mount that bolts to the frame rail. Room is very limited due to the setback, width of engine and header clearance but this location works well. It will take a couple of universal joints to get the steering wheel in front of the driver. Steering box is a Corvair unit that I purchased from Nick Angelo years ago at the Big Three swap meet.
I also got a good start on repairing the rusty lower cowl panel. Patch panel is from Steves Auto Restorations. Drag link is temporary for mock up , measuring etc. IMG_2040.jpeg IMG_2039.jpeg IMG_2041.jpeg IMG_2044.jpeg IMG_2047.jpeg
