  2. you should go back for the glove box door from the 35 dash, if they are anything like the 38-39 doors, they bring some money

When Downing told me this story he said it was a three window and I almost puked!
After seeing the pictures I'm still amazed. You seem to have a way of sniffing these lost cars out. Good for you, can't wait to see what you do with it. Congrats.

  4. Did you put one of those hanging pine fresh air fresheners in it yet ? Or does it still smell like money ? :)
Too bad you can't find one a month.
    No job needed.

Good on you for getting it. Good to see somebody with the courage and talent to be able to build something like this. So many these days can only build a car from the best most original car they can find. But I guess they don't have the courage talent and vision to do what your doing.

If I found a car like that in my area (rainforest west coast canada) there would be nothing left but a pile of rust flakes but I would still scrape them up with a trowel and build it....I saw a youtube vid of some guys who dug a '35 5W out of a feild only parts left were what was sticking out of the ground and that was all beat up still made me jealous lol I have to say i'm extremely envious because somehow you've managed to live out a pipe dream that i've had many times over the years and i mean to the last detail.....what an adventure and what a GIFT!....... aussie57 your quote is perfect

What a cool find! Along the banks of the Pemi?

  19. Its in a pile with another tudor from a stream bed, I have since collected a couple of rough 34 5 window coupe bodies, I used the sedan floor in one of them, I will use most of it eventually. Yes the pemi.

Love it! Missed this thread the first time but looks like a great save and made for a great story. Add me in to the people who were surprised there was anything left of the roof.
