Ted might just fire back and say "Ford guys need replacement parts, but Chevys don't" LMAO
Wow! A bunch of rare Chevys there.
There must be a lot of Pre Hershey stuff going on that we never know about, glad you "invited" yourself in F&J and shared the visit with us. Bob
Yes, that woodwork lasts forever. Bob
They only need this! Large economy size!
No Kidding....I was approaching the open bay from 90 degrees where the survivor was being backed into by a guest and a co-pilot, then I peeked in and said "holy f'g shit" to myself...looked like a dream to see all those rare roadsters in one place. The hot rod was up around the high side of the place, then they drove it back down to put it away. I think the owner was letting the West Coast guys drive some cars to get all "ramped up" for the Hershey trip. LOL One older guy there said he never went when the swap spaces were all on grass?? Walking on tar for 4 days must be tough on the ol' feet.. I'd take wet morning dew on the grass any day, mud is optional.
Quite a treat!
What a beautiful ride. Just WOW!
Where was this Chevy collection? What State?
Man I done seen a cool Chevy the other day layered in deep green, it was bad, it was mean, had red smooth steels, musta made every girl wanna scream!

i am rearranging my parts room and finally found the traction masters that i had removed years ago to soften the ride. i am going to clean them up and put them back on when i run it at the track.
Gold like the chassis?

There you go!!! Red it is!!!
in this photo you can see the mounts my dad made on the spring hanger. the lift arm pads are on the frame mount.
Just like Barrett-Jackson and NASCAR Track Cam
i recently found a 33 standard hood on the 'bay, and i took it part and took it to the sandblasters yesterday. the plan is two fold: one, i want a backup just in case and two, i want to set the second hood up to be used as just a top, to change the look when i want. this way i do not have to take the original hood apart and risk scratching it.
i also got a backup grill shell and insert from out of mallomikes collection. pictures to come.
i removed the bushings and sandblasted the bars today in my cabinet.
heres the "backup" grill shell. really nice condition. hope i never need it.
That will look great on the wall, you could start a trend like the '32 Ford shell guys. Bob
Great looking grille shell. I'm sure there's not too many of those around.
yeah, i never see standard stuff. that is why i bought the hood also. Mallomike and i always have our eyes out for 33 stuff. good to find some stuff.
So, Standard and Mercury stuff is the same?
We should make a winterfront out of it!
rumor has it they are one in the same.
I remember putting a set on my '55 back in the mid-sixties. Too much for the real ones so I bought a set from a guy that made them from shock ends and tubing. Kept the Bucrons planted!
painted them gold.
Packard wheels or sign bases in the background? Bob
