In consideration of time and money I would go with a complete new chassis, it’s just going to be easier if your not a seasoned hotrod builder , Not sure if krylon32 still does chassis but he’s in Nebraska as DBA cornhusker streetrods , nice tig welded and reasonable price for quality and knowledge I would do 40 rear spring ladderbars and Vega box upfront with drop axle and hairpins
Be sure to get friendly with your DMV before you start with the new chassis approach. Charlie Stephens
Here's an article on mine. Dumped the IFS. All in my garage without a jig. Used the independent cross member as a jig. https://www.peteandjakes.com/going-old-school-ifs-to-dropped-axle-swapout/
Beautiful ride! What are your wheel and tire sizes? How did you like going back to the I beam? Was the ride noticeably different? Sent from my SM-G930V using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Just one more thang..........you look like a Ford man.......what the hell is a shivel-lay motor do'in in a FORD car?!! Add AC fer sure 6sally6
Halibrands, real ones, 15X6 and 15X8. 185/65 and 235/70 It actually rides as good, or perhaps a little better. All of my cars have had mono leaf springs and P&J front shocks. Spend the money and get the Saginaw Vega steering box.
