Fenders are staying off. I think it looks more like a hot rod that way. Back is getting lowered down and taller tires on the rear. Color will anything but brown or tan.
How long is a piece of string, Democrat or Republican? Either or, your choice however I'm sitting on the fence as I like them both.
Have had both, in my opinion, you're much better off with the fenders Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
3 1/2" at the A pillar, 3" at the rear. 2 1/2" taken out of the rear window. Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
As you can see I am for leaving the fenders in the garage. You can always put them back on after you turn 85 years old. If you chop it go with the 3.5 front & 3 at the back as that is perfect on a deuce sedan.
that is a nice car start with the car will LOOK GOOD with fenders or no fender one year you can run fenders and one year no fenders its your car you do what you like i will say this its GOING TO LOOK BAD ASS have fun
Now for a different opinon.....when I was about 12 or so I saw an old Ford with rear fenders but no fronts or running boards. This gave a wedge shape vertically and horizontally. It got rid of the giant air scoop fronts but left the beauty and utility of the rear. In my fantasies, some day I'm gonna do one like that.
I like them both ways but I went fendered on this one. Pic was just before I blew it apart for paint. Will be at the Detroit Autorama in February.
Man, that headlight bar is cool. That's gotta be old. King Bees too. Really nice, like where this is going.
Thanks falcongeorge. Yea, the head light bar is old. Like 3 weeks old. Lol The car itself has a great history. Started in 1959 and never finished due to the untimely death of the owner. I whipped the bar up because I thought it went well with the style of the car. I started a build thread on the redo of the car but haven't updated it in months. I've been thrashing too hard to get the car ready to go to interior January 2nd. Autorama will be here before I know it. I'll try to update the build thread soon.
Fooled me! I knew this car had history, figured that was an old piece, Nice job! I have a '26 T tudor, have been trying to figure out if I wanted to do the early '26 individual stands or a late '26/'27 headlight bar, maybe I will go a different route and try to make something like this using the ends of a '27 headlight bar. Neat, thanks for the inspiration!
