Some of you may have been following along with the gremlins that have been plagueing my RPU since I got it running this last spring.

I put my old distributor back on Friday night...ran down to Pismo Saturday morning for the donut deal and been driving around here the rest of the weekend. I did order some .048 jets and put them in last night. They made a big help over the .051's I had...no more loading up around town.
Anyway I still have the fuel tank plumbed out of the drain...so at this point I am thinking there is some issue with the pick up tube in the tank. I have had lotsa theories so far...so I won't claim victory yet. But it sure is running good.

I went out for a few Sunday evening pics...

It just gets prettier every time you take a new picture. I think there are some new details...yes?

The fuel line in the drain caused me a few weeks of aggravation but I doubt that it would be a problem for you. Mine was customized by the PO.

  11. The work you have done converting the truck from closed cab to roadster Pickup is amazing,,,

As Tommy said,, It does get prettier with every photo. HRP

Neal, That RPU is spot on with stance and the parts you used in the build. You have scored with this one !

I agree with Royalshifter. There are very few hot rods built that don't have a "bad side". Yours is one of the very few! Really looks great

Thanks for all of the positive feedback. I've been kinda down on it since it wouldn't run...

Well, there is the rumble seat...

Hopefully I'm over the hump with working out the bugs. I am looking forward to finishing up the loose ends, putting on some more miles and then tearing it down for paint, plating and upholstery.

Super truck. I love it. Hope to build one some day to go along with my sedan. Great, great looking ride.

That's one of my all time favorite RPUs and it's really a truck, had a chance to check it out last summer. Great details and it's all about the details.

I know...real hot rods don't have rumble seats...but since it's not a real roadster, I figured I could get away with it. :)
