    3 & 3/4 inches according to article in Alan Mayes book, where it features on the front cover.

    It goes on to say, “ not 3 & 1/2”. Not 4”, but a just right 3 & 3/4”. “

    Here is my Fordor. 331 Hemi, Ford top loader 4 speed, 9 inch rear. Orig. V8 car and V8 NY transferrable registration. Bought it full fendered and changed to a highboy. Lower spring and smaller tires gave it a perfect stance. It is available to purchase, entire car or rust-free perfect body, interior, etc. only PM me if interested. Sedans rule!! Bought a few new vehicles recently and something has to go.

    Finally got the Tudor running again. Engine swaps and sorting outs and now its running and driving again. nice to have all 3 running at once.
