Features 32 Ford Custom Grill

not a lot of change but a lot of work, see what is different?

 

I haven't a clue as to where or why those stupid dark stripes show up when you click on the pic of my grille. It is a plain stainless insert from vintiques. Might be shadows coming from behind the grille. They(dark lines look awful)

 

Why is your front end in primer this time ?

 

Personally I like the look of the mesh grill in the blue T bucket shown. There is a group on this board called "60's show rods" that may be of interest to you.

But then the late 50's and the 60's were my era and I like show rods.

The problem with being different anymore is people like what they're used to and anything much out of that box is 'not right'. Thank god someone started putting V-8's in model A's somewhere along the road so it's OK now.

I say go on with your bad self.

Lloyd still workin on the repair from takin out the racoon. These fenders are metal as the old ones were glass & had some stress cracks from hittin the varmit.
Only get to work on it for short periods of time in the summer.

Skulls & Spiderwebs are not what I had in mind.

 

These are Adlers - German cars of the 30's - the shell is almost EXACTLY the same size and shape as a '32 Ford - I've got an NOS one I just got directly from Germany that I'll probably end up running.

I saw this one on another thread,thought you might want to see it. It obviously isn't street driveable, but my buddy Josh in Cincinnati (talented sign painter) did something similar with holes in it. He drove his and it looked very cool...and hardcore.

I was on the fence about it but this thread has convinced me to ditch the regular insert on my coupe and make some bullets or acrylic bars or something. Something wacky. You guys are too attached to the ol insert.

Here's a widened one to fit the T-bird rad in it that they used to cool the monster Yblock

 

I made mine out of .250 aluminum, I still have some final polishing, in the pick of the one on the car I have not finished grinding it and doing the final finessing 😀 will post up a done pick after this weekend

Thanks, it's a lot of work and not done yet, here's s easy way to keep the grill bars in line , a 3/8 bolt 😊
