Damn nice Hotrd32!!! That car always photos well.

Speaking of '32 5w's I sold mine. Taking it to Austin next week for it to get build properly by it's new owner. Sad to see it go....excited to see the space in my garage!

My heart! Could never dream of selling my 5'er .... but if it's going to a good home and will get back on the road ... cool. Just PM'd Kev about the Weiand 4x2 we'll see if he can help out at all. By the way, I wear my Sugar City T all the time love it!

Agree, the best way I can see to improve that one would be to lose the nasty whitewalls.

  13. How much was that chopped? Man, that is the perfect chop. I don't have the guts to chop mine, but if I did...

I'm not sure if you had the Lou Bingham coupe in mind when this car was going together,..... But either way, You nailed the basic look !

  26. Gene, my old ratty 5W body that I bought in 2002 in Detroit (actually Roseville, MI) that I traded to you ended up right here in Prescott and was owned by Jim Butler until this year. I think he sold it and the rest of his hot rods due to his divorce and I'm not sure where it went now.

Even though it was pretty rough I still hated to let it go, but Jan (my wife) said four 5W's was one too many. It was an old channeled hot rod that was painted yellow at one time. It would have been interesting to know its history.

Here is what Gene started with.
    <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/07AB5JWiyTBC5Is5fQK0NtMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-Peg1Ju1FJek/S1dUhpo8zpI/AAAAAAAAHC8/NsmPm54bqn0/s800/DSCN1380.JPG" height="600" width="800" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/112173005601005135821/OurOldCarCollection?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">Our Old Car Collection</a></td></tr></table>
Gene put a new cowl section with a good cowl vent from a Tudor on it and rechopped it because it had been done pretty badly "back in the day". Quite a transformation!

    <table style="width:auto;"><tr><td><a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/r88OBeveJ7Cu6pMhk-MANNMTjNZETYmyPJy0liipFm0?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-s9RN1CSaeRo/TMUBVJdQ_hI/AAAAAAAAGIU/4h19cPPLJMc/s800/32fordcoupe.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></td></tr><tr><td style="font-family:arial,sans-serif; font-size:11px; text-align:right">From <a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/112173005601005135821/325WPics?authuser=0&feat=embedwebsite">'32 5W Pics</a></td></tr></table>

Here is mine from 1970 in Detroit. I traded it for a yellow Deuce 3 window. I was a racer back then.
