I just purchased this 32 Ford 5 wd coupe. In the build book it looks like it went through several owners and built in the Springfield, MO area around 2000. It was a display car for a couple years and showed at the Kansas City World of Wheels and Goodguy's. After a complete Pete & Jakes front end kit was installed, it spent some time displaying with Pete & Jakes booth at Peculiar, MO, along with the California Kid 34 in around 2010. No proof of that but would love to have photos. It was also displayed in Des Moines, Omaha, NE and Minneapolis, MN. At that time it was running red wheels and changed to the currant wheels here. Dark gray leather interior with bucket seats. It came to Idaho and the owner had it less that a year and passed from cancer. I bought it and now looking for any information or photos anyone may have or recall seeing this car in any of the areas mentioned.
I also have a photo where it was used for advertising for Crane Cams when it had the red wheels on it.
Can't help with the history but, it looks like a super nice car, except maybe for that "weird" engine.
Very solid car and a kick to drive. lothiandon1940- I don't mind the "weird" motor. I have the same motor in my wife's 62 Nova convertible and love it's millage and performance as long as they are set up right.
