1437696492951.jpg OK so here is the latest progress after getting the body set up on the frame there were a lot of question marks like where to start welding after taking hundreds of measurements and staring at it for a while I just decided to start welding the a pillars and the move on from there. The measurement I came up with for the front a pillar is 7 1/4 inches from the sub rail to the crease of the bottom hinge plate body line. And I did it exactly the same way on the other side

So what I did is I took some flat stock and while it was held up in place by wood blocks an shims I welded them in place. This will give me a solid starting point then I can move my turn buckets to align the b pillars

I like your use of turnbuckles to be able to dial it all in.

1437778617288.jpg 1437778640017.jpg 1437778658071.jpg So now once I got the B pillars welded and the door gaps looking good now I need to get the rear of the body lined up to get a square trunk line. Because this car sat in a field for 30 years the metal has taken a different shape and the whole body is out of proportion. So now it's time to cut this old body panel out and replace it

For those of you guys out there who have a body in the same shape now you can see how the Brookville 32 roadster sub rails and extentions work out. The body panel is from socal speed shop

  15. The efforts in saving old tin here ... never ceases to amaze me. Yep, it does look great man ... even with all the metal missing. Not for much longer I'll bet. Nice work.

[IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] So finally made some progress on the front axel me and my dad took the axel over to Bob Rosetti funny farm and he cnc up new Ford bungs and his son tig welded them in on an axel jig so now I can use my 48 ford spindals and backing plates this is a great stepping stone for this car to get under way. I also made a new spring bolt kit to hold the spring in. It won't be long until I will see this car on its front wheels. I thank my dad for helping me out with it since having 3 kids has had a big effect on the build but be patient my peeps more coming soon

A VERY interesting build. Potvin setup makes it quite unique. Tell Goldy I said hello.

My steering arm came In and I had to throw it on right away . From speedway only 19$ and looks period too. My dad had these old von Dutch striped moons. He told me they were striped by Kenny the mad striper who ends up to be Von Dutch. I think they fit the warn look had to cut out a little more of the fire wall and bring the engine up a little more because the injector is only a 1/4 inch from the frame rail on left and pressure release is about the same on the right. Still trying to keep the engine as low as I can. 20210129_220220_HDR.jpeg 20210129_220244_HDR.jpeg 20210129_220440_HDR.jpeg

Are you planning on running the tie rod in front of the axle or do you just have it that way to roll it around?
