I recently bought a very nice 32 chassis that has not seen the outdoors for over 50 years. My problem is that the rails have been bobbed right near where the rear fenders cross and there is a homemade stepped up section added, and a crossmember with coil spring cups. This was probably pretty cool back in the day as it was going under a T-bucket style 29 roadster pickup with a minimal bed on back.. I want to bring it back as a basically stock configuration deuce frame{ has a mint K member} does anyone make partial rails? I was told JW sells them but cannot find a them. Any help will be greatly appreciated Thanks Rich
I know that you can buy the rear straight part of the rails but they are not very long. Show us some pics!
I think American Stamping offers rail sections. Their frame rail dimensions are very close to original.
Shadow Rods stamps their rails in 4 pcs. Originally to be shipped easily in kit form, each rail split in the middle. The crossmember bolted together and held the rails in proper position to be welded. I helped a buddy build one years ago from the original company before Shadow Rods bought it. I don't know if they sell individual parts. There are a couple of threads here on building your own frame rails to duplicate 32 rails. Might get you enthused to make your replacement parts.
callled JW's today seems the cut off their 32 rails almost exactly where mine are cut. They do this for their 29 chassis. They are texting me pics tomorrow Thanks Guys
Talked to ACS they do not sell sections, I don't 'think I would have the heart to cut up a set of new rails
Call California roadster co. In Bakersfield they probably have a few laying around from the bobbed frames they do for model A’s
