It's hard to call that a barn find, wow what a body. I've read the whole thread and no one has mentioned the hood, looks like a 25 louver. If you think you paid to much Research that a little for a shock. Or better yet don't research and I'll give you a 1,000 for it.

Cool!! You should be driving in no time!

  10. Assemble, drive, worry about details later. The paint is shiny and will do for now, and the interior is complete and will serve as well. Drive it like crazy and who cares if it wears/chips. Drive it every day, put 100k miles on it then repaint it and reupholster it when it is worn out....that's what I'm doing. :)

Ok ... I'm a 36 guy, with 2 of them, so the Deuce is new to me regarding the rarity of things like hoods. So the hood I have are the real thing ? I guess it's a big deal ??

The hood sides are perfect, so I thought they were re-poped. I was not planning on running them so I could show off the 3 deuces ... I better go dig them out of the garbage can :)

They are repops, Deuce Roadster stated it earlier in the post.

the front two louvers are shorter than the rest on real ones, rootlieb has finally worked out correct repops on them.

I wouldn't touch a thing, looks period perfect the way it is. It may not be for everybody, but it does work wouldn't be my choice for interior, but I sure could get use to it. Clean it up and enjoy. Sure is a nice find

    Congratulations - nice find!

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I like those wires. What's going on with the drip rails, or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

  16. I like everything about it, even the wood dash panel. Go ahead, crucify me, its my opinion....
I think you should finish the mechanics and run it as it is.

I would so run those wheels.
they would look great with a set of excelsior CompV racing tyres.
Id have to ditch the interior though.

Same as the rest on here, if I was starting from scratch I'd do it different, BUT - you've got a kind of resto rod timewarp here, hit the road 70's style! Maybe down the road you'll be glad you did!

    Great score!

The '80s re-pop 25 vents didn't look like those. Nice originals.

Instead of changing the car just go to a thrift store and buy a polyester leisure suit and an 8-track player and you will be cruising in style in no time!

I don't really see the 80's there so much as possibly the 70's, and I think that is kind of cool.

I would paint the fenders to match the body. Throw the car together with a small block and stick a set of big and little 5 spoke chrome Cragars on it and call it a day for a few summers. Drive it. Enjoy it. Find out what really needs changed, but I think you might be surprised how many people would dig the 70's vibe.

And put that damn hacksaw down!
