Is that car low or are you guys just very tall??? For me narrower tires up front and taller tire out back would work... Looks great.
Funny, that was the first thought in my head when I saw her standing & staring, with her hands on her hips. This would be a good photo for a caption contest. Anyhow, looks like it is going to be a great car!
Think you need to read through the thread, not just comment on the first picture. It has changed a lot for the better since that pic.
Thanks for all the compliments again guys and now i the car running driving and raising hell! haha take a look at the pics and let me know what you think I took it to its first car show today (just a little one at a church) and it ran flawlessly, now it's time to get it cleaned up for KKOA in Salina at the end of the month. And i'm thinking about painting the headers white, what does everyone think?
When i was 15 and bought my neighbors 31 coupe my stepdad freaked out and made me sell it!!! luckily i had a buyer! and this was from a man who owns hot rods! Anyway you are lucky!! Beautiful Model A! what are the exhaust tips off of?
i'm not sure what the exhaust tips are off of. They are just a swap meet find, and i think they are after market pieces from the 50's or 60's.
Nice car.....for what it's worth I'd leave the headers as they are. I guess you could paint them white like you mentioned and then if you don't like them change them back but I think the car looks great as is. Any plans for the 6x2 set up coming back?
Turned out excellent man. Good Job. Glad you got the wheels sorted out! I bet those little skinny's don't stand a chance back there.
Very nice hot rod! I wish my son was more into the older cars, he would rather have your Dads elcamino. It looks like the support rods are a little long because the grill looks like it's leaning forward some. Might just be the angle of the pictures. Great job none the less!!!!
That's a real cool Rod man!! Some awesome personal touches to it too.... Thought of running a bigger rear tyre? Maybe a 7.50.... You're gonna love every second when cruising in it!! HC.
Well guys I'm slowly making changes to the car as I enjoy driving it, last weekend I changed out the cheap headlights out to some 35 ford headlights with original paint and not a single dent. The best part is they only cost me $90.00. I love swap meets. I'm thinking of using these little lights as turn signals, but that would mean drilling into these solid original headlights. I also changed out my steering wheel, what do you think? I may get the center brass plated or try to polish up what is under the paint. I made a new thread of how I cleaned up the engine but I'll post the final product photo here just so you all know my motor is still not a mess (minus ugly alternator, boring intake setup, and wires running across the intake that will soon be cleaned up)
