Hi all I have a friend who is building an A roadster hiboy, he has 30 A cowl and doors and 29
quarters, we realise that they do not match but no doubt it has been done before.
Does anyone have any photos of such a project? Thanks in advance.

The "51" car at TROG in 2015, 2017 was made up of 29-30 stuff.
    Good luck

If he decides to move forward, I'd watch the door height where it meets the quarter. Also, the length of the doors is longer on a '30-31, so the quarter is probably longer on the '28-29 also. If you just put them together as is it will probably be too long. Not to mention the beauty reveal is in the door on a '30-31, it's below the door opening on a '28-29.

Everybody's standards are different. I have no doubt it could be put together into a complete body with some work. If at some point he decides he's not happy with the decision, well now would be the time to swap the cowl or quarters for the year he wants.

The 28-29 Roadster quarters just look too long to start with IMO. I don't think wee need to see photos of this attempt. Bob

My '30 Cabriolet had '29 quarters. Channeled over Deuce rails, stock windshield /'A' pillars, looked proportioned, but cockpit was longer than a story.

That was done at the factory, totally different quarters than a 28-29 Roadster. :) Bob

Any pictures for ideas would be helpful , if it is indeed an option. Anything is achievable its just the effort required to get the end result to be aesthetically pleasing .
