I used a welding wire to make a pattern and bought a curved hose for mine.

Just a thought. I put a straight up housing on off a mopar on my sbc. Worked neat. Now I'm going Rocket. (in a deuce) also the housing I have could be better

I would call Tony at Ross Racing engines.

I could look today to see if a Mopar LA might be workable, and look at a later Olds that I think are straight, but I thought those had a small bolt pattern.

Edit: you beat me to it, on thinking Mopar :)

    Meaning mopar small blocks, sorry.

I just looked and measured bolt ctr-to-ctr. Olds is 3-3/4" and the Mopar 340's I have here are 3-1/4". Those are straight up shorty stub, Iron, and I suppose you could cut out the outer part to make slots, but it would not look pretty.

I am not up on other brands, so I don't know what else might have a wide pattern, and be straight.

The Mopar one is such a simple style that you could make one from 1/4 steel plate and a short tube, welded. see pic.

I just pulled out an old thermostat catalog to try and help and didn't come up with anything good for you. Sorry.

Thanks for looking. Going to let this thread cook for a few before I kill it. I think I can fab one using a 2x1 1/4 offset reducer (butt weld)fitting. Should look alot like a stock item. Cheers all W

Nope :D I measured one of my j2's and the housing, as well as the bolt spread is just way too small.

that might be easier to make a flate plate adapter for than fabbing a whole new one
would look a bit more factory too
